Her Honour Magistrate Samantha Seoud appointed to the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria

Parnell’s Barristers are proud to congratulate Her Honour Magistrate Samantha Seoud on her appointment to the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria.

Her Honour has established herself as a versatile and accomplished advocate across the full spectrum of criminal law. Her practice spans indictable and summary crime, quasi-criminal matters and intervention order proceedings, with a reputation for thorough preparation and clear, effective advocacy. She is a member of the VLA Preferred Barrister List and holds an Indictable Crime Certificate.

Her Honour’s career reflects deep commitment to the criminal justice system. Before coming to the Bar she worked in private practice at Balmer & Associates, at Victoria Legal Aid and with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service in Queensland. She has also contributed significantly to the profession, including through her leadership as former Chair of Women in Crime and her service on Liberty Victoria’s Criminal Justice Committee.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Her Honour on this well-deserved appointment and wish her every success as she begins this important new chapter of judicial service.
