Lucinda Thies is a sought-after barrister who accepts briefs to appear and advise in criminal and quasi-criminal law matters.
She is regularly briefed in complex state and Commonwealth indictable matters, including white collar fraud, as well as quasi-criminal proceedings such as inquests, professional disciplinary proceedings and inquiries.
Lucinda has been consistently recognised by Doyle’s Guide as one of Victoria’s leading criminal law barristers since 2021 and was previously recognised in the national white collar criminal law and regulatory investigations rankings.
Lewis Winter has a broad practice with a particular focus on criminal, regulatory and public law matters.
He has acted for and against individuals and corporations in matters involving allegations of fraud, bribery and corruption, occupational health and safety breaches and disciplinary matters. He also maintains a strong advice practice, including internal investigations for companies and regulatory bodies.
Before coming to the Bar, Lewis worked in government and private practice, including with Allens and the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions. He also worked at the Australian Government Solicitor, including on matters arising from the Financial Services Royal Commission.
Carmen Currie practises across criminal, administrative and employment law, with particular experience in regulatory matters.
She appears throughout Australia in occupational health and safety and other regulatory prosecutions, inquests, investigations and public inquiries. With a background in commercial litigation, Carmen has also developed a strong practice in corporate crime, including complex foreign bribery, insider trading and market manipulation matters at trial and appellate level.
Conor O’Bryan accepts briefs across criminal, commercial and public law. Conor has also taught in the Juris Doctor course at the University of Melbourne.
Daniel Sala practises in criminal law across all jurisdictions, with a particular interest in white collar crime, occupational health and safety, civil penalty proceedings and professional disciplinary matters.
He is a member of the VLA Criminal Trial Preferred Barrister List and brings experience across criminal and regulatory matters.
