Biography

Katherine specialises in criminal law.  She has ten years solid experience.  She accepts briefs to appear and advise in all areas of criminal law in Victoria and the Northern Territory.

She also has extensive experience in family violence and personal safety intervention orders.

Katherine has been engaged as junior counsel in a number of complex trials, including cases involving dishonesty, rape, murder and terrorism. She is a member of the Victoria Legal Aid Preferred Barrister List.

Katherine commenced her career in private practice at Matthew White and Associates. She appeared daily on behalf of a varied client base and had carriage of indictable matters.

Katherine worked at the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service between 2014 and 2016. She was employed as a Criminal Lawyer and Senior Criminal Lawyer.  She was responsible for various circuits across Victoria.

Immediately prior to signing the Bar Roll, Katherine was employed by the Western Australian Aboriginal Legal Service. She was based in Kalgoorlie and undertook circuit work in remote communities in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands.
