Biography

Katherine has fifteen years solid experience in criminal law. She accepts briefs to appear and advise in all areas of criminal and quasi criminal law.  She also has extensive experience in family violence and personal safety intervention orders.

Katherine is a member of the Victoria Legal Aid Preferred Barrister List and holds an Indictable Crime Certificate (ICC accreditation).

Katherine commenced her career in private practice at Matthew White and Associates. She appeared daily on behalf of a varied client base.

Katherine worked at the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service between 2014 and 2016. She was employed as a Criminal Lawyer and Senior Criminal Lawyer.  She was responsible for various circuits across Victoria.

Immediately prior to signing the Bar Roll, Katherine was employed by the Western Australian Aboriginal Legal Service. She was based in Kalgoorlie and undertook circuit work in remote communities in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands.

Since joining the bar, she has regularly appeared in the Northern Territory (Darwin, Alice Springs and remote communities).
