Jennifer welcomes briefs in criminal and quasi-criminal matters, public and administrative law matters, and inquests and inquiries. She accepts briefs to appear and advise for both prosecution and defence.
Jennifer regularly appears in the Magistrates’ and County Courts across all stages of proceedings, from bail applications to pleas.
Jennifer is an experienced advocate who has practiced extensively in summary and indictable crime. Before coming to Australia, she was admitted to the Canadian Bar, where she appeared regularly, unled and as junior counsel, in complex criminal matters ranging from summary driving offences to murder.
Prior to joining the Victorian Bar, Jennifer was Associate to the Honourable Justice Lasry in the Supreme Court of Victoria, sitting in the Criminal Trial Division and Court of Appeal. As an Associate, she gained direct insight from the Bench regarding criminal trials, plea hearings, bail applications, fitness investigations and special hearings.
