Hugo practices in criminal law and quasi-criminal matters.
Hugo appears in trials, committals, County Court appeals, contested summary hearings, bail applications and pleas.
He also appears reguarly in the AAT on behalf of applicants resisting removal by the Minister for Immigration.
Prior to joining the bar he worked as a solicitor-advocate at the Melbourne office of Stary Norton Halphen, and as a criminal lawyer in the Northern Territory at the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA).
