Biography

Holly is an experienced advocate, accepting briefs to appear and advise in criminal, quasi-criminal and regulatory matters as well as inquests and inquiries.

Holly has significant experience in a broad range of criminal and quasi criminal law. She is routinely briefed in regulatory matters, including those resulting from WorkSafe prosecutions. She also provides advice to government agencies on a broad range of criminal and administrative law matters. Holly has particular expertise in complex offending involving Federal offences, including those which relate to serious organised crime as well as slavery, terrorism and child pornography.

Holly appears both led and unled at all stages of criminal proceedings, and has appeared as junior counsel in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Court of Appeal.

Immediately prior to the bar, Holly was a Principal Solicitor Advocate in the Advocacy Division of the Office of Public Prosecutions. Holly has also been employed in the Melbourne office of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, and completed an internship at the International Criminal Court. She began her career as a legal clerk at a private defence firm in Brisbane.

Holly has also been selected in the 2024 VLA Trial Counsel Development Program.

Formerly an associate to the Honourable Justice Byrne AO RFD (now retired) of the Supreme Court of Queensland, Holly read with Rishi Nathwani SC and senior mentor, Patrick Doyle SC.
