Felix accepts briefs in criminal and quasi-criminal matters, including administrative law and regulatory proceedings.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Felix was a solicitor-advocate for four years at Victoria Legal Aid, working across both the Indictable Crime and Summary Crime teams, as well as at the Neighbourhood Justice Centre and in the Assessment and Referral Court.
Felix regularly appeared in criminal proceedings in the Magistrates’ and County Courts, including bail applications, pleas, intervention order proceedings, contravention hearings and committal proceedings. He is also experienced in therapeutic courts such as ARC, the NJC and Drug Court.
Felix had conduct of a broad range of State and Commonwealth indictable matters, as well as summary matters whilst at VLA. These have included serious violent offences, serious driving offences, serious drug offences and matters proceeding under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Fitness to be Tried) Act 1997 and the Serious Offenders Act 2018.
From 2021 to his admission, Felix was Associate to his Honour Judge Murphy and her Honour Judge Blair of the County Court of Victoria.
He has also volunteered with Fitzroy Legal Service and the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency in Alice Springs.
